So....a little behind on the deal of the week....been a busy past week or so at work--gotta love being an accountant in the spring!
This past weekend when I wasn't at work, Gary and I decided to get out. Lately we have been trying to check out local Louisville things like the
Muhammed Ali Center. So we decided to check out the Science Center this week. Thanks to a friend at work who shares things to do and deals around town for letting us know about the Louisville Science Center's weekly deal.
On Friday and Saturday nights after 5:00 general admission is $5 for an adult (regular admission is $13). A ticket to the IMAX is usually $7, but is $5 after 5 on Friday and Saturday. [we saw an IMAX film about the human body...hence the title of this post!]
So we had a night of entertainment for $20, when it usually would have cost $40! Check out your local attractions' websites to see if they have similar deals at certain times of the week!
After that we came home and ordered a pizza that we got for free from Papa John's! I recommend signing up for their rewards program. They often offer free large pizzas!
The jury is out at our house about whether this counts as a deal or gambling....
The free pizza coupon we had was from going on the Papa John's website when they offered the promotion to choose heads or tails for the Super Bowl coin toss and we took a guess. We happened to be right and got a free pizza. I count it as a deal, Gary thinks it was gambling. What's your thoughts??
